Thanks Chris (Bob and Canie too), I figured there must be thrust faulting occuring in the Tejon Pass area, but wasn't sure if Garlock was the one or not. Where is the thrust faulting you mentioned happening in relation to Tejon Pass? Interesting part you mentioned about the right-lateral strain accumulating in the area between the 1992 M7.3 Landers and the 1872 M7.8 Owens valley quakes. With the epicenters being at 34.13N,116.26W, and 36.6N, 118.1W respectively, this gives an alternate stress path to the San Andreas, as the Pacific plate attempts to shift in the locked region.
