thrusting near Tejon

Billion, have to write this quickly: I assume Tejon is the area near route 5 at the Grapevine. One active thrust fault crosses 5 on the way to Bakersfield: it is causing the folding at Wheeler Ridge. This fault dips SW and is active. It is nearly blind, meaning most of its slip is absorbed in the fold-but it does show in a gravel quarry. There is another thrust fault-I think it is the Pleito thrust, that is parallel but farther SW. It may be an older strand, and less active. There are likely others closer to the Garlock/San Andreas intersection, but they may have become less active. Besides Wheeler Ridge, I'm not all that familiar with the area. Chris
