Hi All. Looks like I might have shaved that Yountville quake a little close.

It seems I have myself in a pickle. Two people are sending me their ear tones. At first it seemed they were supporting each other, but now I’m starting to have second thoughts.

It looks like there is a strong chance of a 2.8 to 4.0 at 37.5N/121.6W on 12/09/2001. This is about 27Km SE of Livermore, California. The upper magnitude can go higher particularly if there is a geomagnetic storm 2 or 3 days before the forecast date. It could also occur earlier then the forecasted date. Then again it could do both.

This location is in the Mount Hamilton range and is close to Mount Hamilton where the Lick Observatory is located. There have been quakes in this area in the past without the fault being identified, as there has been no surface rupture found. There is an outside chance that the Calaveras fault could be the source, but that isn’t known for sure.

The window opens on 12/07/2001 and will close on 12/11/2001. The radius on this will be 40Km. Take Care…Don in creepy town
