Reintroduce myself?

OK.

I'm a retired Federal seismologist (of sorts) and computer programmer, formerly of the USGS earthquake center in Golden, CO. My main task there was studying seismic signals from nuclear explosions. As a sideline I wrote a lot of programs, mostly related to maps. I also ran the Prediction Monitoring and Evaluation Program for a few years.

I'm 67 years old, live in a double wide mobile home (no wisecracks!) in Boulder CO and throw papers at night to stay afloat.
