Lowell, There is a discrepency between the earthquakes on the list you use and those that appear on the SCEC map. There have been no earthquakes in the last 7 days on the SCEC map in the 2 deg by 2 deg square around Santa Barbara. This is www.scecdc.org/recenteqs/
If you click on the Santa Barbara area you get a zoom into a 2 deg by 2 deg square and a list of all the earthquakes on it. This also happened a week or 2 ago: you reported a small quake near Carpinteria or Ventura (I forget) that never showed up on this map. Let me know if you can explain the discrepency-if not, I may look into it. I use the map page to get a feel for California seismicity, and need to know if it is reliable. Chris
