I'm not sure where the problem is. Was there an output option before that's no longer there?

I looked at the CSV format. Looks fine to me. I know of no requirement that CSV be 'easily readable'. It's intended to be machine readable.

Maybe there was a fixed column format before? I mean in this new search since the changes started, I know there was before then. I have not needed to use the new search pages.

I am sure USGS is open to useful suggestions. I was about to email them one of my own when I noticed they implemented my idea already just a couple days ago. I can now save pages as bookmarks so I don't have to keep starting with a blank screen an re-enabling the options every time I go to the map page. Others probably already beat me to the punch or USGS already had it planned.

BTW, I would not expect the USGS pages to stay static. It looks to me like they are trying to actively improve things. More changes are sure to come.

And here I thought I was the one so resistant to change.... eheheh :)
