Re: Large Earthquake in Northwest/Canada/SE Alaska |
Hi Lowell, Don and I have been checking seismograms for the last half hour and see this quake registered as far south as Fremonts Peak which is 10 miles southwest from Hollister to Mt. Baker, WA. Also NEIC is now reporting a 5.7 on the Queen Charlottes. Don and I think its going to be higher than that after re-evaluation. Mt. Baker is showing this quake lasting 10 minutes, but of course the felt portion is much shorter. (the web corder link is below) Aftershocks are appearing, but so far are small. Anyway, if this is it, then it fits in my NW Advisory forecast listed below. (hope, hope) Actually in addition, almost all day today I've had a headache on the top of my head, which is extremely rare considering I don't have the flu. I guess we'll know more in the morning.
