Hi Todd - I was referring to post 9641 where Lowell said:
A senior staff person at the Southern California Earthquake Center (SCSN) sent me
the following advisement this morning. Since many of you follow minor earthquakes
in that are with some interest, I thought you should be advised so that an increase
in minor quakes in that area is not misinterpreted.

"Lowell, I should mention that we have made a change in the Simpson map (Recent
Earthquakes in California/Nevada) for southern Cal. We started updating the map
following post-processing. This means that bogus events should disappear and a
few more small ones should show up, but not right away. This started last week."

I guess I did mis-interpret his meaning - I thought the quakes were up but after seeing this post I just thought more quakes were appearing on the map...

I guess the seismicity is up which is not good news.... Oh well.

Thanks Lowell for clearing this up.
