Hi Canie:

I know the NEIC search does not show small quakes (i.e. M1.x's) the last time I checked...but maybe the scsn has a catalog which does. Anyway, I think the referred quote was easy to misunderstand....

My 48 hours was really 30-36 hrs but I placed some "slop" buffer in the window. I use a different set of data altogether from the moon...though observing the syzergy windows is not a bad idea. The data I check does not make alot of sense in and of itself with regards to eq prediction but does when viewed in the context of a theory. It appears though, that some folks may be intuitive about it's value without really knowing the why of it (as seen on other web-sites). The data I check and how it is interpreted won't be much of a mystery for too long.

One other point, is anybody aware of any radon measurements going on in the LA / microeq area and how elevated the levels are? Receding levels support the idea that a large quake is not likely near term.
