The one thing I've noticed when reviewing the earquake data bases is that there's a great deal of activity on almost all of the faults leading to Tejon Pass, but hardly ever any activity in the area from what I could see. The 2.2M quake I mentioned was a direct hit on Tejon Pass.

I believe that Tejon Pass is the point where most of the stress is built up in the Southern California fault system. There are very few quakes that occur in that area, which is strange considering that it is the crossroads for the San Andreas Fault, the Garlock (west) Fault, the Big Pine Fault, and the Santa Gabrial Fault up from Hollywood area. It's also close to the Santa Ynez Fault (east) and the White Wolf Fault.

I also think that the recent Colorado quakes have put additional stresses on the Garlock Fault.
