Kathy and Kate,
We have had a lot of very unusual activity in the central and western U.S. over the past two
days. This included three quakes in Colorado, one in Arizona, several in Montana and
Idaho, a Ml 2.8 in Canada just north of Minnesota and the 4.0 near Vancouver
Island this morning. A lot of this can be attributed to far-field triggering from New
Zealand or to the solar flare three days ago. However, it does seem like something
is brewing, and the solar flare may be just the thing to set it off.
