Hi All!!

I'm going to try reposting this whole scenario again!! I went to submit the post and used a word which I will describe to you because if I use the word again, it will Sensor My Post in big Red Letters and not let me post until I correct it. So....the word I am using is something that holds back Big Amounts of Water and if it Breaks, you're in big trouble! I will start the word with a D...so that when I type this message it won"t allow me to post!

Anyway...now that I have that off my chest!

I read your posts about feeling ground movement down there. I went into the USGS board and saw that Simi Valley has had about 5 small quakes on the Santa Susana Fault. That fault is not to be reckoned with or ignored! I grew up all my teenage years in the San Fernando Valley and I know what that fault is capable of! Also.....Elizabeth Lake had a small EQ and it is on ground 0 of the San Andreas Fault. So...this quake may be the marker as they call it.

I went to Granada Hills High School, Ulysses S. Grant my last year(my Parents thought Granada Hills High was too "Wild"!, so they put me into Grant, more academic!) Then I went to Nursing School at Los Angeles Valley College, went thru the Sylmar Quake of 1971, and if I had been at Olive View Hospital or on the Fwy that morning to go to do my Clinical I would be dead. I overslept that AM and by the grace of God, here I am today! When my kids were small we lived in Valencia. So....guess you'd say I'm a "Valley Girl!" The point is, I remember very vividly the Sylmar Quake and when I read your remarks about that area, it brings back some scary memories! Especially, when we had to evacuate our home in the early AM hrs., because the Van Norman D....was going to burst(thank God it didn't).

Even up here, there is alot of tension and hyperactivity with people and my Dogs!!! I want to grab my German Shepherd and either shake him or put him on a Treadmill for awhile to calm him down!!

Anyway...Stay Safe and keep track of the small EQ's in Simi Valley and around you. Don't take anything at face value. They underestimated the fault of the Sylmar Quake, said it would "Never Go"!! And it pulled down Olive View Hospital that was built on top of it and a Fwy overpass!!

Bye for Now :-)

Dyan
