Hi Mark,

Don't believe any of those stories about me riding a vacuum, they are totally untrue, so are the one's about the broom. I can't ride anymore since I injured my back last year.

I just thought of a case that might give you an idea about your material. Do you recall the story of the vulcanologist who went up on an active volcano and it went off when the group was up there? He wrote a book about the ordeal and said if he had any idea it was going to go off, then he wouldn't have gone or taken anyone with him. I think four died. Countering his book was a woman reporter who brought forth her point that the volcano was displaying activity "harmonic tremors" that preceded prior explosions in the past and that he should have known better. She blames him for the deaths and injuries of the other vulcanologists. Mind you, they are all adults, able to think on their own and no one forced them to go. Both books are selling well and now investigative TV has locked onto the story, so that improves sales as well.

So from my backyard to yours, one who's already walked the path of publishers and the topic of geo-sciences without a degree, here's my two cents so that you can grasp what I heard:

A. How many years of research have you done and was it done in coroboration with anyone who is a scientist who can say your methodology meets current protocols. B. If you discovered this link in such a short time, why haven't people who are scientists discovered this before and why do they or don't they support your findings? C. In delivering this information how will it prove to be beneficial if earthquake prediction is not possible anyway? After all, if it was, it would be happening already, right? D. To whom is the publisher going to expect to market this book to? Will scientists read it? Non scientists? How many copies should they anticipate printing? Or, if you market it yourself, what group fits in your marketing plan? Okay, now go back, and look at your outline and see if you can place this book on the shelf in a bookstore and where would it be found?

This is meant to be totally positive because that's what I had to do when I got serious about writing. You can write the best book in the world, but if you can't market it to a large group, then your heart, soul and devotion will never be given the opportunity to be read. Maybe you need someone in the scientific community to challenge your idea's. Point - counterpoint. Or someone who supports your research.

Now, go for it! You can do it,if you want to, just keep the above in mind and when you can answer the questions, then you've got your marketing strategy figured out and no one will stand in your way or slow you down.

As I say, "Life is a journey, however it's in the journey we have this wonderful experience called Life."
