Re: Demonstration Bulletin Board and Note To Skywise – December 21, 2012 |
Canie, You said it yourself. You are not a scientist. In contrast, I am, and a very experienced one and a professional inventor and disaster mitigation professional. Technologies that I have developed myself over the years or recommended that governments develop are being used extensively. I am not a high level computer programming expert. But I managed to learn how to do Perl and CGI programming without help from anyone else. So, which of us should know how the world of science works? If you want to be helpful, I could use a copy of the CGI program that runs the EarthWaves board. It has a few features that I could add to my own program and save myself some programming time. Actually, I already have a copy of that program somewhere on my computer. A long time ago your Internet Server was having some problems. And when I tried to post a note to the EarthWaves board it instead sent me a copy of the CGI program. At that time I seem to remember that I knew almost nothing about CGI programming in general and the WWWBoard program in particular. And I kept looking at the program and wondering what it was. A copy then got stored somewhere on my computer for future reference and then forgotten. When I downloaded the WWWBoard program and examined the code a while ago I realized that it was a simple version of the EarthWaves board program. So, I could probably find that program on my computer and extract the code that I am interested in. But if you regard the code as being confidential I won’t do that. I can develop whatever code that I need on my own. And if you think that this might be some type of trick to get you to send me the code then just let me know that. And I will go searching for the program and send you a copy as proof, still without looking at the code. These are personal opinions.
