I did some work back in the "Early Miocene" on the Hosgri and the Diablo Canyon area. The old seismics certainly were interesting...and as I recally, showed remnants of a distinct subduction (or large thrusting) in that area. Probably long outdated! Have fun!

I have to wonder if the 6.3 was related to the 7.7. I can't imagine that they aren't!
