Hi Penny,

some had published the Hosgri are as thrust, neglecting the shallow fault, which is certainly right-lateral. But, there are some deeper low-angle faults that I now think are in part reactivated as post-Miocene thrusts.
So, what was your evidence for thrust? There was a subduction zone and the oceanic crust is still there in the lower crust, but subduction stopped at 10 million years. There have been thrust earthquakes west of the southern Hosgri, including a M7 in 1927 with a small local tsunami.
