Earthquake Forecasting Advances (plus) EM Signal Information – October 2, 2012

EM Signals

Quite a few low intensity signals have been detected lately along with a small number of high intensity ones. This is at time the sign of an approaching powerful Japan area earthquake. And there is some line structure around 145 E on my latest forecast Chart-A. So, it might be worth watching that area.

They might also be associated with a type of aftershock earthquake activity for that powerful Columbia earthquake. If so then that activity should diminish in a day or so.

EARTHQUAKE FORECASTING ADVANCE

There is a possible significant earthquake forecasting advance being investigated. If the effort is successful it might enable us to start accurately forecasting a good percentage of our powerful and destructive earthquakes in the not too distant future.

Advance – The EM Signals that I work with appear to be doing a good job of indicating when significant earthquakes are getting ready to occur. But my location identification computer programs generate accurate data only some of the time. There could be a better way to do this.

The EM Signals are coming from somewhere. And it is most likely a fault zone that is interacting with the Earth’s geomagnetic field and solar energy storms.

So, there should be indicators in satellite world maps of Total Electron Content etc. showing where geomagnetic disturbances are being observed on the maps. If they are the source of the signals then that might be where the earthquake occurs.

Attempts to detect these particular signals using other forecasting methods have not been successful. However the signals have to be out there someplace. And after the November election efforts might get underway to determine the nature of the signals and how they can be monitored. I can tell people when during the day signals are being generated.

They run from a second or so up to several minutes at time. So it is not easy to detect them if you are not already looking for them.

It might be necessary to get U.S. government agencies to help with this identification process. And I am working on getting such an effort started now.

I know that the signals mean an earthquake is coming. That type of procedure might better tell where it is going to occur. The overall detection and interpretation processes would be fairly complex.

These are personal opinions.
