why little "Johnny" can't do science |
Good grief, the local paper that we PAY to receive published the linked commentary yesterady. No wonder little "Johnny" is confused about science (put Meth joke here). This article shows that a little knowledge can be dangerous. The writer puts some facts in to go with some nonsense. He says that 1/3 of great quakes in the 20th century in California have been "during certain new and/or full phases during the hours of dawn and dusk". Well, there was only one Great quake in California in the 20th century, 1906 San Francisco. I suppose you would have to allow M6.5+? Roger, want to check? I should write a letter to the local paper complaining, but I may not get around to it.
