I really don't think there is any such thing as a "professional" earthquake predictor. That is, I know of no one who actually make a living off of this. Even those who charge for their services make very little. In terms of using anything we do to enhance our job, wages etc. - you seem to think that doing such things as evaluating (or even being associated with on a internet board) earthquake predictions is a plus. This is far from the case in both the USGS and NOAA. In fact, the history of such things demonstrates that those involved in such activities are usually frowned on by those who pay the salaries. In other words, participating in any way (either an as an evaluator or as a predictor) in earthquake prediction is not a plus but a strong minus on any professional level. The exception is if you can make a name for yourself in debunking predictions and showing there is no such thing. Then you are safely in the establishment. So, the bottom line is that if you want to be involved in earthquake prediction in a non-PC way, then you'd better be an amateur or be prepared to pay the consequences.
