It dependes on the attenuation of the STRESS waves and NOT on the attenuation of the elastic waves. Therefore, the amplitude of tilt rate will be almost the same in Japan as in Czech Republic (not Czechoslovakia, not Chechnya). Read our book. The stress anomalies are detectable everywhere on the Earth. I checked it in China in 2010 with prof. Li and Stuart Crampin. Unfortunately, prof. Li died this year.
The test of my hypothesis and model of EQ preparation and nucleation is the prediction of EQs. The last correct observation was last month before Okhotsk sea EQ near Kamchatka. We correctly recognised these waves, correctly interpreted them and correctly localised the focal area. The random probability was only 13%. It is the confirmation of our theory. Not the Impact Factor. One reviewer wrote us that our paper will be rejected, because tides are too small to trigger EQs. And we found the opposite.
