Since historical earthquakes are being discussed,

One reported earthquake in particular has significance for many of our world religions. That is the one that the New Testament of the Bible reports having occurred several thousand years ago on what is widely referred to by people practicing certain religions as “Good Friday.”

A number of years ago I went looking around on the Internet for some type of evidence that an earthquake did actually occur at that time and information regarding exactly where it occurred.

Other than the Bible reports, I could not find any other mention of such an earthquake.

So, I am wondering if anyone knows if there are any geology records etc. that show that one was likely around that time and also where it might have occurred.

It is my expectation that this matter will eventually be regarded as being fairly important to people practicing certain religions. The reasons that it might be important to them are actually scientific in nature. But because of the sensitive nature of the subject matter I don’t want to go into too much more detail regarding why that might be the case.
