On the other hand, I have to wonder if the timing of that announcement might possibly have had something to do with the fact that last week I sent a report to several key U.S. policy makers stating that the U.S. government attitudes regarding earthquake forecasting and earthquake related problems in general bear a striking resemblance to the stuff that has to be shoveled off Main Street after the circus parade goes through town. And I added a few additional pleasant comments regarding how to get started with fixing those problems. Now I am going to have to I wonder if, perhaps, somebody important read my report. However, I am sure that the announcement did not have anything to do with the fact that earlier this week I met with several of my legal advisors to obtain legal opinions from them regarding this general subject matter. More later on all of this probably.
