Web Site Project – HTML Editor - Posted by EQF on November 26, 2011

Comment: If anyone knows about a better HTML editor than the one discussed here then I would be interested in hearing about that.

WEB SITE PROJECT

The Web Site Project involves creating Web sites that are intended to help solve problems that threaten the health and well-being of people around the world. One Web site for each problem. For example, unexpected powerful earthquakes would be one such life threatening problem. And one of my Web sites was created to help people around the world learn how to accurately forecast earthquakes.

At one of my other Web sites I am planning to create a Web page that focuses on this Web Site Project. And to help get the ball rolling I am starting by circulating a few reports such as this one.

CREATING WEB PAGES

When people want to create a Web page they can do that with a standard text editor. However, that can be a very slow and complex process.

What people often do when they want to create a Web page is create it on their home computer using a Web page or HTML editor computer program. Then when the new Web page has all the text and pictures etc. that they want, they upload the entire Web page to some Web site.

I have been searching for a versatile and easy to use free download HTML editor that I can recommend to other people on my planned Web Site Project related Web page. And I am presently testing the one that can be found at the following address:

If you want to download that program and test it yourself then if you are using Windows you might want to download the top URL on the page. It is for a Windows installer program. I submitted that program to my virus software checker after it was downloaded and saved. And it said that the program was being widely used and was considered safe.

The program is also available in other languages from that Web site. And it took me a while to find that English language version for it because I originally went to the SourceForge.net site where I found a download for the program. However, when I tried running it, that editor was written in Polish or a somewhat similar language.

Finally, as stated at the top of this report,

If anyone knows about a better HTML editor than the one discussed here then I would be interested in hearing about that.
