Turkey Earthquake Aftershock Related Project

The following Web page was just created in an ongoing effort to try to get something organized that might provide Turkey government officials and appropriate Turkey nongovernmental organizations with some advanced warning before there is another destructive aftershock for that powerful October 23, 2011 Turkey earthquake.

Because there are so many earthquake and (my own) local activity related events taking place these days, that aftershock detection and notification effort is taking a while to get operational. But the creation of that Web page is at least a first formal step along those lines.

There are not yet any URLs on the homepage for that Web site pointing to that Web page. And I haven’t posted any notes to any Newsgroups or circulated any E-mail notes about the Web page. The plan is to wait for a day or two to see if any helpful comments are made on this EarthWaves board or sent to me by E-mail.
