Once again,

I have very specific locations for this or these expected earthquakes.

That exact location for the northwest U.S. earthquake was sent to the appropriate parties on May 18, 2011.

The location for the central Asia area earthquake will be sent to certain parties in that area as soon as I get some confirmation from them that they won't circulate the location data in any public forums.

And, you can see the difficulty of agreeing to something like that if you are in the country where the earthquake is expected to occur.

Anyone in that country is going to have friends and relatives who live near the expected location. And they would undoubtedly want to warn them to get out of town for a while. And they would also try to swear them to secrecy. However, those people would also have friends and relatives who they HAD to warn about the expected earthquake. And those people would have other friends and relatives who needed to be warned.

Before long everyone in the area would know about the warning. And people would start leaving town regardless of how many scientists and government officials insisted that there would be no earthquake or that “Earthquakes can’t be predicted in the first place.”

So, you need to be really careful about exactly who sees forecast details in advance. And as I said in another of my postings today, that problem could be solved if an international earthquake forecasting data clearinghouse were created.

The bulletin board I developed is intended to help with that. But it could not take the place of an actual organization for collecting and processing earthquake forecasting data.
