UPDATE - May 4, 2011

Detailed copyrighted outlines for the following disaster mitigation programs were sent to U.S. government and state government officials for their evaluation:

1. How to improve safety and disaster response capabilities at facilities such as nuclear power plants.

2. How to improve commercial aircraft safety.

3. An outline of a sophisticated Internet based global disaster mitigation and safety program for dealing with a wide range of disasters including earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, floods, etc. down to disasters as small as multiple vehicle traffic accidents.

Those proposals and recommendations have already been sent to and will in the future also be sent to quite a few U.S. and state government agencies and officials. It should be interesting to see how they respond, especially to the recommendations dealing with nuclear power plant safety.

The recommendations etc. that I made should be obvious to any experienced disaster mitigation professional. A limited version of one of those recommendations has already recently been put into place (thought not as a result of my own efforts). But my recommendations are more detailed and cover many more applications than that one that is already being used.

I might eventually discuss here what the nuclear power plant safety recommendations were. For the moment I think that it would be better to let government officials give the recommendations some thought without having news services etc. put any pressure on them.
