Crystal Springs Area--Earthquake Tracker

Hi All. Using the earthquake tracker I found an area that bears watching. Of course I didn’t find this by myself. The people who maintain this data have already indicated it as a warning.

It is the Crystal Springs area. This is in the seismic gap area between Portola Valley and the San Francisco Peninsula. It appears the magnetic change started on 05/15/01 and has continued off an on since then. It appears there have been days before this date where there were indications, but were not as pronounced as they are now.

I was wondering how long it would take me to learn how to read and understand the data. It looks like I’m getting my first lesson.

I have checked the USGS data for the Bay Area and there doesn’t appear to be any strain build up anywhere. However creep as always is spastic. Take Care…Don in creepy town
