220% g

The link is to a map of ground accelerations with Intensity. 220% g, intensity 10 is pretty bad. Lyttelton is the harbor (96% g); I got on the Antarctic ice breaker RVIB N.B. Palmer for a test cruise to Aukland back about 1995. The Palmer leaves from there sometimes to go to McMurdo station in Antarctica.

Just noticed 189% g east of downtown on the map, and 80% downtown. Northridge (California) had some measurements near 100% g in 1994.
