Hi Don,

I never heard a word you or Lowell spoke. Its to bad you didn't realize you've been driving backwards up Gravity Hill for months. Its the same hill we drive down to get to my study area.

By the way, did you gents notice that little quake in the Straight of Juan De Fuca? Not so far away from Vancouver. I could be wrong, but it seems to me thats a new area for quakes up that way. The rest have been in the north/south corridor from Bellingham, WA to northern Oregon. While it may seem like nothing to get to excited about, we have to recall that no one got very excited about those quakes off of BC before the Olympia event. No matter, its still unsettled up there and this little baby says to me, keep a keen eye out, because something new is in the making. Heads Up, BC & Washington.

Now, one last thing about Gravity Hill. Does anyone know if there is any correlation between these gravity anomolies and vulcanism? I just recalled that in the Santa Cruz mountains theres a place called the "Mystery Spot" where weird stuff happens. There's also one not far from the Oregon border north of Arcata. I love weird stuff. Normal things pass me by, but weird stuff I understand perfectly. I wonder if that means anything???

Oh, speaking of weird stuff. Last night about seven I was afflicted with impaired hearing in both ears and a constant ringing in my right ear. This went on until around ten thirty. I had no other symptoms at the time. I know two other women who have had intense ear ringing before earthquakes that were in close proximity to an epicenter before an earthquake. So as you can imagine I was on EQ alert status last night. Well, I'm still waiting. But in the interim, if anyone else has had the experience of intense ear ringing before quakes local to them, please post about it. I'd like to know how common or uncommon it is.

Hanging nine from near the Rodgers Creek Fault...and missing playing baseball this season...Petra
