very interesting: John V?

EQF, that was very interesting, thanks. I forwarded this to HW, a couple of Turkish profesors working with us on that fault, and a USA seismologist also part of our group who is doing field work but who published a paper on the seismicity between the Izmit and Ducze quakes (that seismicity can be considered precursory to the Ducze quake (Seeber and Armbruster or something like that). I

flag this for John V because I do not read the seismologic literature unless I need to for some proposal or manuscript I am working on, although I will likely read this one.

There was some tremor before the Parkfield quake but (M6, 2004?) I don't remember how long before and whether it accelerated.

Chris
