Re: read paper |
I have several degrees in the physical sciences and have worked for many, many years as an experienced professional analyst on a very wide range of projects. Being polite to the point of probably actually being inaccurate on this I will state as an experienced professional analyst that the efforts you are describing by the “experts” to learn how to forecast earthquakes are “inadequate.” However, there is no point in debating this. My new Web site and bulletin board are intended in part to demonstrate how this work should be done. The first project for the board might get underway today. It appears that many earthquakes are actually probably fairly easy to predict. But, people need to: 1. Know what they are doing and 2. Be willing to do whatever is necessary to get the job done. When people ridicule things such as Earthquake Clouds etc. as possible precursors it is a good indicator that one or both of those requirements is missing. These are personal opinions.
