BULLETIN BOARD UPDATE Posted by EQF February 18, 2011

The latest experimental version of the new Research Bulletin Board can now be seen via the following Web page:

It will not be operational until quite a few additional refinements have been added.

If it has a somewhat similar appearance to Canie’s EarthWaves board that is because the same basic WWWboard bulletin board program was used to create the board.

People can download a copy of it from the following Web site:

Canie made extensive modifications to that original board when creating the present EarthWaves bulletin board. And the one that I am developing will also have extensive modifications. One of them can be seen with the latest version of the board.

Instead of entering User Name, Security Code, and Subject on separate lines it will be possible (hopefully) to enter them on the same line and just separate each of them with a “/”. That should make it slightly easier to post messages.

As mentioned before, it will also hopefully be possible to post entire research reports including charts and picture files etc. to the bulletin board.

My Perl language programming experience is getting a good work-out with the development of that new bulletin board!
