EARTHWAVES BULLETIN BOARD BACKGROUND NOISE

People who have done any substantial amount of research with electronic circuits are familiar with the concept of “Background Noise.”

Basically, when the amplification of some circuit is set high enough, the user will start to encounter random fluctuations in signal levels that interfere with the detection of the desired signal. The background noise does not contribute any helpful information other than perhaps indicate that the signal line is active.

The previous posts from the two other people in response to my original post are what I feel people should regard as EarthWaves bulletin board “Background Noise.”

Neither of them said anything about the original post subject matter, “Earthquake Precursors.”
