2. Perhaps the term you're groping for is "feedback", not "noise". Electronic noise has many sources, not specifically the interference from running at high amplification, which is not random in any case.

3. I seriously doubt you are among "people who have done any substantial amount of research with electronic circuits", anymore than I am a platypus, although they doubtless would be more familiar with background noise.
