Roger,

Some wrong imagination in your mind. Not exact but just for example, imagine the circumference movement
of an old gramaphone record having slight big hole in the centre while playing consider zero friction at its bottom.
Then build up your imagination from disc to a sphere which is having inclination so that you can also feel the
earth's axis 'X' movement with corresponding its circumference.
