No need to ask in an astro group. I've been an amateur astronomer longer than I've been interested in geophysics - decades. In some applications of astronomy, specifically astrometry - which is the precise measurement of celestial positions - even a wobble of a few arcseconds (1 arcsecond = 1/3600th of a degree) should be detectable.
