post-quake satellite in Google earth

The link is to a high-resolution GeoEye satellite image layer for Google Earth. I am looking at it now and one of you may be interested in helping. It seems like there must have been surface rupture on an earthquake like this, and there may be geologists on the ground now mapping this, and there may be scientists looking now at this Google Earth layer. But, I have not heard any of this on the news and have not received any emails saying this is happening. There is some effort underway at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia U to get involved in helping, but at least one of the seismologists there was not aware of whether there was ground rupture as of last night.

So, it would be useful to look for linear localized zone of heavy damage. It is entirely possible that only part of the earthquake ruptured to the surface.

I'm going to play around with this but am not likely to do anything systematic.
Feel free to look and maybe give some coordinates of narrow zone of heavy damage. I'll pass that along to the Lamont seismologist/geologist.
Chris
