Ah! Finally! A voice of reason in the wilderness! Yes, we are a free market economy. No, we are not a centrally-planned economy, socialistic country, nor do most Americans want to be. Government needs to get out of the way and quit with its social engineering programs. What we don't need is one more unfunded, federally mandated program that our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be in debt for from the moment they are born. We are already in debt up to our eyeballs for the Ponzi scheme of Social Security and for Medicare. And we're going to start another huge entitlement program? This is insanity. Yes, you are right -- our health care system needs work, but there are other ways to fix it (see my prior posting). Where in the Constitution is health care guaranteed? Where in the Constitution is it deemed to be a right?
