For Canie--Parkfield

Hi Canie. As for the time being I don’t see anything in the way of a 6.0Md for the Parkfield area.

There was however a slight increase in tensor strain on the 10th at Parkfield. This stress however did not last long enough, nor did it indicate the amount needed for a 6.0Md quake. Nor was there an increase in dilational strain, which would have also indicated stress build up.

Creep for that area is very spastic and I have learned not to rely upon it very much. The creep meters are very close to the surface and as the wild pigs that roam the area pay very little attention to signs that are posted around the creep meters you can get some wild readings. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
