There have been about four M3+s at Bombay Beach where the San Andreas fault heads offshore in Salton Sea. There may be a NE-SW cross fault intersecting near here. Kind of a dangerous spot to be tickling the SAF, but there was a swarm there a few years ago (or was it a decade?) that included M4s.

Man, there have been a lot of posts lately on this page. For a year or more we have been going days without a single post and a few days ago I checked after a day and there were dozens. Wonder if we can do statistics on number of posts vs. earthquakes that follow? (joking).
