Canie, what does one go to Germany for a weekend for. It's um...Like, You know, far (Caroline Kennedy-speak).

I've been checking the weather for one of the cities on the Elfstedentocht and it is a little warm, so I don't think the tour will be held in the next week, if at all. The link is to a nice article with a nice picture of my favorite type of canal to skate.

Still at Long Beach, interpreting the Outer California Borderland with a new grad student (older, very capable student). Lots of huge folds and seafloor-deforming faults. Little has been published on this area...in fact, almost nothing.
