Beth, it is probably not a money problem. I don't think they have good options, except to not core that material. They approached it with quite a lot of caution: gravity cores (big Bertha), measuring the tension with these, then the piston core without extra weight, then with one pig (?), then moved about 20 m and used 2 pigs and got stuck.
