Problem with supermoons discovered.

Hi all;

I finally discovered why supermoons were coming out better than chance.

Multiple hits. Several quakes fitting one supermoon.

When I allowed only one hit per supermoon the hits came up as 62. This is less than expected.

I didn't think it would be a problem so I didn't bother. WRONG!

These are not necessarily aftershocks although I haven't checked to see.

But the reason why it matters is that the probability calculation is based on one hit per window so the hits must be too.

Just goes to show that the old rule still holds; if the answer doesn't look right, it probably isn't.
