Here are two significant quakes (to me at least):
01/05/04 10:19:33 14.05N 92.50W 33.0 4.3M A NEAR COAST OF CHIAPAS, MEXICO
01/05/04 16:07:57 24.08N 108.70W 10.0 4.7M A GULF OF CALIFORNIA

Usually when they occur in this pattern (coast of mexico and then the gulf) there will be more further north along the Gulf and up into Southern California - I'd expect at least a 4.0 - either just below the border or then following the san andreas north up to Landers/Hector area.

It happens sometimes within 24 hrs or as long as 10 days - the longer it takes the greater the magnitude. But there seems to be a relationship to these areas.
