K, Roger - could you briefly abandon the terseness, and speak in complete, explanatory sentences? In the immortal words of Barbie: "Math is hard." Given that, in some educational venues, statistics isn't even within the Math department, I am beginning to use some significant math in my Stat class. For instance, what does "I didn't restrict the dates on the syzygy and perigee files" mean? You have "60 hits out of 217 'supermoons' that's 27.6% where the odds on a hit in any 6 day window is 22.1%." Your percentage (60/217)is correct, but what does the figure of "1729" mean? Maybe you could start from the beginning, and write as if your audience was somewhat mentally impaired . . . Or, alternatively, you could just supply some conclusions . . .
