geologists vs. geophysicists

There is a long tradition in the oil industry of geologists and geophysicists giving each other a hard time, usually in cartoon form.
I was just looking at a page from a technical paper or report that says, after an equation for seismic velocity:
"(Geologists need not worry what "e" aand "ln" are. They are on your calculator, so just go ahead and use them. Trust me.)"

Waiting on new computer. The "a" key is sticking on the old one so almost everytime I type "a" it repeats (aa). I am deleting each extra "a" as I type.
Hope has to do with the dry weather today.
Chris
