Chris, I think you are refering to the NASA 06 prediction
of the max for cycle 24 of 160-180. Below is the official
Noaa/Sec/USAF prediction for cycle 24 as of Apr 07. There
are two red curves in the diagram because the panel of experts
was split down the middle.... half for 140 and half for 90.
The previous cycle 23 was right at the long range average. This
cycle 24 forcast may be updated this April. (scroll down)

I think science has underestimated the effect of the sun. For
instance, during the Maunder world wide temps dropped almost
1 deg C and regionally London droped 4-6 deg. I'm not saying
the green house gases won't have an effect and we need to keep
trying to reduce them. If this lastest data is correct we may
have some extra time to correct the CO2 and CH4 issues.

I'm still looking for the data/article on the slowing of sun's surface.
I'll be sending another science article in the next post.
