The focal mechanism is out and it is right-lateral on the plane parallel to the transform fault. Right-lateral is expected for a transform connecting ridges with a left stepover (look along the ridge towards the transform and the other piece of ridge is to the left)
So, plate tectonics works once again, for all you "theorists" out there with your models dismissing plate tectonics. I reviewed a paper by someone who did not believe there was any strike-slip on the large faults in central California including the Bay Area, by a professional geologist. Lots of professional geologists don't believe CO2 can cause climate change.
