Once again, I screwed up.

In my test of cross aspects, I found 30 hits where 10 were expected based on odds of 0.016. The .016 came from dividing 627 by 39081, the number of days involved.
Plugging 627,30 and .016 into the VassarStat applet gave a significance of <0.000001

The error is that I should have used the number of quakes instead. Plugging 1709, 30 and 0.016 into the applet gives me 0.33 which is what I was expecting.

My apologies to all. Maybe I'm getting too old for this. I turned 73 on the 9th of this month.
