Maried in Provence, huh? The Spouse and I drove down from Germany, through Switzerland, over to France and down through Provence a couple springs ago. We stayed with some friends in their villa outside of St. Tropez. Yes, we had a great time. But the food. OMG, the food!

Let me know what you find out there in the waters off Malibu. That is where I grew up and where my elderly mother lives still. Would be interested in knowing just how large an eq the area could see, and when the last one went off. (And of course, if you had a rough idea of intervals, that would help, too.)
